At a certain point in time, it is essential to switch your welding production from manual to automated welding. Increasing quantities, short delivery times and high quality requirements then leave no alternative. Last but not least, every employer wants to protect their welding specialists from monotonous work. However, the step into automation is not always easy and must be well thought out. But what exactly does automation mean in welding technology?
Relief for the welding specialist
Objectively speaking, a welding robot or a guiding machine replaces the welding specialist and takes over the movement axes. That way, monotonous, constantly repetitive and tiring work steps are automated and mean an enormous relief for welders!
Increased economy and consistent quality
Another positive factor is the increased economy that can be achieved with a welding robot or a guiding machine. A robot welds faster and with consistent quality. This cannot be achieved even with the best welder. An investment in partially or fully automated welding processes is therefore an investment in the health protection of the welding specialists. These are then not rationalised away – they can rather be used for challenging and complex welding work, where they bring in all their skills.
